I have taught for 36 years in the Pike County School System. I taught 1 year in 5th grade at Goshen Elementary. I taught Chapter I/Title I and still teach second grade at Pike County Elementary.

I am originally from Shady Grove,  Alabama. I now live in Troy, Alabama. I am married to George Pollard. We have 3 children Rhonda, Racynta, and Gerard. I have been teaching in the Pike County School system for 37 years. Being able to teach the children and grandchildren of my former students is very rewarding.  Even though the job is very challenging, I still find it satisfying.  My husband and I are actively involved members at Antioch Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama where I am active in the youth group and tutoring children of the community.  We enjoy getting to watch our grandson Chance (#5) play football/baseball and our granddaughter Ariel cheer.
