PCES 5th Graders

PCES Math Champions (MCs) are moving in math! By taking part in the UNICEF Kid Power program, these 5th grade students are getting active to save lives. The Kid Power Band measures physical activity only (steps and movement) using the Band’s pedometer and accelerometer. The physical activity data is completely private, and only viewable by the student’s teacher, Dr. Tucker. After our first day, March 3rd, these students have an average of 111, 973 steps which unlocked 9 therapeutic food packets for severely malnourished children around the world. We are looking forward to many more. Let's get active to save lives!
