I am a 1997 graduate of Pike County High School. I later graduated with my B.S. in Elementary Education in 2008 from Troy University, and earned my M.S. in Elementary Education from Troy in 2011. 

  During the school year 2009-2010,  I taught Indian Education to grades K through 6 in the Pike County School System. I am currently teaching 4th grade Reading  at Pike County Elementary School. I am excited to be a part of the *best* school system around!

  In 2016, I had the honor as being selected as Pike County Elementary School's Teacher of the Year, as well as the Elementary Teacher of the Year for the Pike County District. It is truly an honor to serve in the community and at the school in which I was once a student. 

    As once a student at Pike County Elementary School, it gives me great pleasure to be able to give back to the students in this community. After gaining much knowledge from the teachers who were here at that time, I later went to Pike County High School, and graduated with the class of 1997. Several years later, I married my high school sweetheart, Henry Everett. We have been married for 18 wonderful years and have a son, Malachi and a daughter, Makayla. I feel very blessed to work with young people and help guide them into being productive citizens.
