Skills that we will be focusing on this week:

Reading:  We will be reading Twin Club (pages 26-43).  Please read the story with your child nightly and ask them questions.  

    - Skill: Character (who the story is about) and setting (when and where the story takes place)

    - Phonics - Short vowells and consonants

    - Vocabulary - Alphabetical order

    - High Frequency Words (that they should be able to use in a sentence): somewhere, beautiful, someone, country, front, friend

Language: We will be working on sentences.

Math: The focus will be on place value and the use of mental math strategies.

Science: The different states and properties of matter

Social Studies: Technology
